U.S. Congress Candidate Brian “Ryan B” Doyle Statement on Higher Reimbursement for South Carolina Healthcare Providers

South Carolina risks losing good doctors and healthcare providers in their state Medicaid program if we fail to consider ways to increase reimbursement. We recently have seen the work of the President and Republicans in Washington on Medicare.

I will support federal and state legislation to increase South Carolina reimbursement for health care providers, hospitals, nursing homes, medical offices and other providers of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursed services.

South Carolina falls behind too many neighboring states in the amount of reimbursement provided to health care providers.  Especially, hospital emergency rooms, OB-GYN services and ambulance and medical transportation providers.

We must find more resources to provide additional reimbursement to South Carolina healthcare providers. Increasing the cigarette, alcohol and other luxury taxes would allow us to put additional funds into our state healthcare escrow account and increase reimbursement for our underpaid healthcare providers.

South Carolina needs a minimum of a 4 to 8% increase in reimbursement to healthcare providers.  In order to keep our hospitals in business and doctor’s offices operating in such an ever more needed time.  We must act now to save our healthcare providers.  This is not only a South Carolina problem. Many states face similar problems, but help must start at home.

I will work cooperatively with other leaders in an effective way to find funding to support healthcare providers.  We must eliminate unnecessary corruption, graft, waste and bureaucratic inefficiency.   I also believe in considering an increase in cigarette taxes and other items which are health hazards to our people and securing monies gained from drug related crimes and gambling or other illegal enterprises for placement into our Medicaid escrow account

I believe substantial portions of money secured in drug related arrests should be divided with the various County and State agencies for, among other things, more and better drug rehabilitation centers and healthcare cost increases for South Carolina providers.

I mean that when local and state law enforcement agencies seize large amounts of money in drug or racketeering raids a percentage of those funds should be put in state escrow programs like healthcare, drug rehabilitation and education within those local counties.

As your U.S. Congressman I will work hard to provide South Carolina with the resources needed to succeed.  My opponent doesn’t support increases in these services and in-fact voted against the Medicare bill in Washington.

It is time to send a message to Congressman Barrett on November 4, that we must take care of those in South Carolina first and foremost.

Brian “Ryan B” Doyle Announces his Candidacy for 3rd US Congressional District

I am proud to announce I am a write-in candidate for 3rd U.S. Congressional District of South Carolina. I will need your vote on November 4, 2008. I give my heartfelt thanks to the many citizens of district who have come together to support me.

Their is so much work that needs to be done within our district to improve our well-being including: improved educational opportunities for our children and adult education and literacy classes; improved assistance to the elderly and handicapped; increased funding for such worthy projects as meals on wheels; and addressing the problems of unemployment and skyrocketing health care costs.

You don’t have to look far to see that this Country is in big trouble. And we all know that the only difference between a so called Democrat and a so called Republican is the name they call themselves. We all know they are different sides of the same coin and different legs of the same pair of pants. We all know that most if not all of them are in the pockets of one big corporation or another. WELL, RYAN B is not in any one’s pocket and never will be. Vote the one candidate that cares more about the people and this country.

We all know what the problems are. Lets work together to solve problems not cast blame and make excuses and tell lies to please the rich and powerful..

Statewide & National Policy

I will work through out this campaign to address issues of:

• Higher Quality Education
• Health care for all
• Tax reform
• Honest elections, every vote counted
• Weak economy, loss of jobs, inflation, mortgage/bank crisis
• Wars the people don’t want to benefit arms dealers, administration friendly and related contractors, oil companies and big business.
• Outsourcing of American jobs.
• Promoting sustainable energy sources, conservation and environmental protection
• Corporate Media failure to cover or address real issues and report or comment on important news

And I will listen to the voters of the 3rd Congressional District. I want to hear about your concerns and problems and any ideas or suggestions you may have to help improve things. My door will always be open.

Second, Syndicated Radio Talk Show Host to Run for U.S. Congress

Author: Michele Greene,
Contributing writer for Black Press

First, Al Franken for U.S. Senate and now Brian “Ryan B” Doyle for U.S. Congress.

We’ll give Ryan B credit for one thing: he sure knows how to get people involved in their local government, especially African-Americans.

Over last three years and more the controversial radio host has been digging up information on bad government and bringing it to the far front. Even after being sued Brian “Ryan B” Doyle hasn’t stop speaking out against bad government and the mistreatment of people. Airing on the Urban Media Broadcasting Networks, many people in several cities including many blacks have gotten involved even before Sen. Obama announced his run for the President of the United States of America. More citizens have been marching down to the city council, county commissioners and school board meetings than ever before. In many cases people were unable to gain entrance due to occupancy limitations. Thanks to the popular program “The Water Cooler Moment” hosted by Brian “Ryan B” Doyle. Which airs’ in South Carolina, North Carolina, Mississippi and Virginia.

Now, after keeping speculation running in overdrive since leaving his local affiliate WAAW over Controversy with a local State Representative William Bill Clyburn concerning buying land and selling it back to government funded agencies for double the costs, and despite many eager haters who are all too happy to defame him to the public, Ryan B is conducting a write in campaign running for U.S. Congress in the 3rd Congressional District of South Carolina against Republican Gresham Barrett.

It’s Amazing; let’s win this Election in South Carolina

Author: C. Hamilton,

The Chronicle

It is amazing what is forwarded to slander the character of someone we my not approve of politically, socio-economically, and or religiously. We could take any political figure past or present (take your pick!) with as much media coverage as Presidential candidate Sen. Obama and now Ryan B.   pulling snippets from books, interviews, lecture, off the record comments, etc,  to make one appear to be anti-white, anti-black, anti establishment, anti-Christian, anti-whatever.

My question to the person who sent this out as well as all who are receiving this email is: instead of trying to find fault in a candidate of our disapproval, find something positive in a candidate you support and send that information out to the masses for debate. This email does nothing but promotes a knee-jerk reaction because many of us have not read any of his books and are not aware of the context these words in conjunction with the rest of the book are positioned.

This is a also slap in the face to many people who have the good sense to read material for themselves and form their own opinions about a candidate. Most of us understand denouncement is a typical part of politics. But, it also brings into question that if one must resort to a strategy of finding or creating fault in a political challenger, what does that articulates about their own policies, moral fiber and or agenda…I’m just saying’ something!

Gov. Mark Sanford: “No!” to DNA Testing.

I applaud the courage and fine leadership demonstrated by Governor. Mark Sanford when he vetoed the DNA bill that mandated DNA testing for people accused of crimes at the time of their arrest. I believe that DNA samples should only be taken after a person has been convicted of very serious crimes.I am against invasions of privacy by our own government. The manner in which such very personal information as a person’s DNA profile would be handled by any governmental agency is a matter of great concern to the citizens of South Carolina.

Additionally those who were not convicted would have been required to make a specific formal request in writing to have their DNA removed from the data base. That could have caused a problem for younger people and some of the less well educated citizens of South Carolina.

It could also have had the effect of requiring citizens to have to pay additional fees to attorneys to prepare such a request to have DNA removed from the data base. Read the rest of this entry »

In the Spirit of Legendary History Marker the Hon.  J. Strom Thurmond (1902-2003)

First to ever win a state wide office to the United States Senate as a write-in candidate in November of 1954.

‘Like nothing in American politics’

Strom Thurmond was, quite simply, the most enduring and resilient figure in American political history.

He won his first election, to the Edgefield County School Board, in 1924. He volunteered for the Army in World War II at age 39. On D-Day, he crashed a glider behind enemy lines. He was elected governor in 1946. He won election to the U.S. Senate in 1954 as a write-in candidate.

“Times change,” Thurmond said in the WLTX interview. “And a man in public life has to learn to change with it. … I tried to make progress and keep abreast of the times and represent all the people.”

An American legend Hon. J. Strom Thurmond (1902 - 2003)

‘Will history repeat itself?’

Brian “Ryan B” Doyle wants to represent all the people of the 3rd Congressional District of South Carolina as a write-in candidate.

As many of you already know, I am running for public office. For those who know very little about me, here is a short bio:

Biography:

Brian L. “Ryan B” Doyle was born in Augusta Georgia.  He has remained a resident of Aiken South Carolina much of his life.  Ryan B maintains strong conservative and independent values.

An advocate for health care and taking care of veterans, senior citizens and military families, protecting the Americans people and securing our US borders with strict immigration laws  he believes in keeping jobs in America and reducing benefits given to large corporations for outsourcing.  “I believe it’s the American people that fuel our economy with the purchases of goods and the hard work they do.  By providing economic incentives to big businesses we have virtually bankrupted the nation and the people.  We can not afford the present course our country is on.

Before completion of high school Ryan B joined the local volunteer fire department and later became an Emergency Medical Technician and Paramedic.  Shortly, afterwards he advanced his education in a bridge nursing program.  Ryan B operated the first African-American Ambulance Service in South Carolina.
